UIDAI has changed the present QR code on e-Aadhaar that featured demographic data for citizens with a steady QR code that consists of demographic datain addition to the Aadhaar holder`s photograph.

Aadhaar has two QR codes, and this data is authenticated by a UIDAI digital signature to make it more secure and tamper-proof. Some are small with only demographics on the front, while others are large with demographics and photos on the front and back of the crop.

The e-Aadhaar QR Code contains demographic information about the resident, such as name, address, date of birth, gender, masked Aadhaar number, according to the UIDAI website. The larger QR code also includes a photo.

You may have noticed that the printed Aadhaar has a QR code. This is a digitally signed QR code that can be used for authentication. Simply launch the QR code scanner with the mAadhaar app and scan the QR code with the specified Aadhaar. The screen will display demographic information along with a photo of the Aadhaar wearer. You can collate these with the Aadhaar moderator to verify their identification.

India's Unique Identification Authority  (UIDAI) has developed the Aadhaar QR Code Scanner software that allows users to scan and verify the data contained in the QR code printed on eAadhaar, displaying PVC maps printed on Aadhaar.

HOW TO VERIFY:

Step 1: Get and open the mAadhaar app.

Step 2: Open the QR Code Scanner application. Please note that all printed Aadhaar maps include a QR code.

Step 3: Scan the QR code on the presented Aadhaar card.

Step 4: Double-check the information with the physical copy you received.

You can verify your Aadhaar card both online and offline. Scan the QR code on your eAadhaar, Aadhaar letter, or Aadhaar PVC card to see it offline. This QR code scanner can be used to verify the validity of the provided Aadhaar card.
